For Lichtenberg’s Lange Nacht der Bilder the artist-run curatorial program of HB 55 Kunstfabrik, Margarine, is pleased to present an exhibition with works from over 20 different artists. Sharing the Kunstfabrik as our creative home, we are a community of individuals inevitably influenced by each other and our surroundings. The artworks in this exhibition have been partnered or grouped together to highlight this unique relationship. 

The title of this exhibition, The Conversation, is inspired by tonight’s live drawing performance. Simone van Dijken and Gam Bodenhausen will produce a collaborative drawing over the course of the evening, layering paper upon paper and line upon line. Just as the two artists are in a process of exchange, the artworks surrounding the performance are arranged together—sometimes even touching—in dialogue and discussion with one another. A conversation that might make you see a different side, learn something new, have a laugh, or shed a tear. We invite you to embrace the spirit of creative exchange as you view the exhibition, browse the artist’s library, enjoy the music, and visit studios throughout the building.
