The exhibition is a response to the recycling and materials repurposing center immediately next to HB55. The participating artists and curators were inspired by the social, economic, visual, auditory, and poetic associations that come from discarded and re-purposed materials, and the Kunstfabrik’s position in the larger context of the Lichtenberg industrial district. The exhibition examines the ways in which something that is considered useless is made beautiful and purposeful again through the unique artworks produced by artist at HB55.
