Kinotations is a collaborative project between the experimental poetry group, AKIMBO and Galerie And, in which artistic transformation flows across the mediums of film, poetry, and exhibition. The process begins with two beautiful short films by Nora Mandray, Fluid Lagos and Vestali Liquide, which center around themes of water, flow, and co-creation. Using the films as a starting point, AKIMBO will facilitate a closed workshop with a selected group of poets, responding poetically to the imagery and themes in the films. After the workshop, the Galerie And team will have one week to create an installation-based exhibition from the material of the workshop. The results of the transformation and collaborative process will be presented on June 13th at Galerie And. The event will include a screening of the short-films and poetry reading in the immersive exhibition environment.
